First resurrection

Regarding the first resurrection, “first” does not mean the first in the regular sequence. It is translated from “protos” in Greek having the meaning of “beginning,” “foremost,” or “best,” i.e., signifying Jesus Christ. The first love mentioned in the Revelation indicates the “love of Jesus Christ.” In the like manner, the first resurrection represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ, signifying the resurrection Jesus Christ gives. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

When does this resurrection come to us? Jesus will be resurrected in us when our old man is crucified with Him. This is the first resurrection we shall have. The first resurrection represents the resurrection of the life of Jesus.

They have His holy life so they are holy and blessed. The second death cannot reign over them because they have passed through it. As the born again men and spiritual priests, they will reign with Christ in the kingdom of God.

According to the process of being born again, the second death (death on the cross) comes first, and the first resurrection (resurrection) comes then.

Blessed are they who meet the second death and have a part in the first resurrection!
