We strived for the voice of the Lord: “Do I have to sell the apartment right now? Or, do I need to wait further?” or “Isn’t this the right time to do it? Or do I have to stop it?” We were dying to hear God about such things. We jumped for joy if having heard Him answer to us, and we were sometimes disappointed about the answer because it generated an undesired result. So was I.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Let me explain this with an example. A blind man asks a man who can see about what lies before him by saying, “Is it a river or a bridge? Or an apple or a pear?” He may be in a better place than other blind men who have no one to respond to him, but the problem is: he still cannot see even if he may know the answer.
Therefore, if we concentrate on only the work of hearing Him about one thing or another each time, we may receive answers from Him, but we will end our lives as blind men in the spiritual sense.
Now, we should move forward and try to know the mind and the heart of God in everything. Our eyes will be then opened to the spiritual things while we gradually know His heart that way.
How can we know His heart? It is to meet Jesus Christ who lives. Upon meeting Him, He will open our spiritual eyes and have us know the heart of God so that we may become one with God. This is the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven that has come on this earth.
