Fishers of Men

[Mark 1:17]
And Jesus said to them, Come you after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Jesus said to Peter, “Come after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.”

And after His resurrection and at the Pentecost, Peter became the fisher of men. Peter was hooked by Jesus, the Fisher of men, and he died on the cross united with Jesus, and resurrected as the one who has His life. Peter also becomes fisher of men, as Jesus is.

Fishes;

The fishes only know the world that they are live in, the sea.  If they go out of the sea, they definitely die. Yes, true. So they cannot but remain in the sea.
However, unfortunately when they are caught by the hook or by other devices of men, they will struggle to get out of it for their life. If they suceed in such struggle, they will remain in the sea, thanking God. They are born in the sea, and will die in the sea.
But those which are strongly hooked cannot but die, and come out into the world of resurrection.

Fishers;

Fisher catches fishes. He cast hook into the sea waiting for the fish to bite, When he senses that a fish bites the bait he will be excited with the hope to get good fish. If the fish is caught, he will examine the fish whether it is good or evil. 
If good, the fisher will have the fish cooked on his dinner table that day.
If the caught fish turns out to be lousy, he will send it back to the sea.

Significance;

The sea signifies this sinful world, and fishes in it are the sinful human beings.
Fishers are the born again like apostles, who belong to Jesus, the Saivior. They cast hook, the word of God, into this world, waiting for someone to bite it. If someone strongly bites the bait, then fisher can take him out of this world through death/his cross, and he, the fish, will be resurrected in the kingdom of God.
And that is the end of the world for old self of the fish. 

During this course, the fish should bite the bait strong enough to go through the death. Otherwise, the fish will go back to the sinful sea again. If the fish is caught by the fisher and become his food, the fish will live in the resurrected world as the fisher. The fish died and born again as a fisher.This is the salvation of the fish

To know Jesus the fish may diligently study the Bible, go to the theological seminary and worship God, Good doing, carry on! But the fish should remember that he is doing it under the sea. So meanwhile doing so, the fish should have hope to meet 'a fisher' who will take him out of the sea.  

We;

We should not be satisfied in this world we born, if we want salvation in Jesus. We have to change the world to the kingdom of God by death on our cross, following Jesus, a man. Figuratively, we should be eaten up by Jesus, to have His life.

Today, I cast hooks into the sea of internet, expecting some exhausted and desolate fishes would bite them strongly.

[Matthew 13:47-50]
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like to a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
